How a second language is learned...
According to research, second languages are developed through learning and acquisition. Learning is the conscious process of studying the grammatical rules, pronunciation and vocabulary of a new language.
Students learning a second language, however, will also acquire it by simply using the language as often as possible. Since this happens subconsciously and is not limited to the classroom, it is very important that students take every opportunity to immerse themselves in the language they are trying to learn.
